You must use the TrashPros 96 gallon can for basic weekly collection. However, for extras you may set out up to qty 7 extra 32 gallon containers, 32 gallon plastic bags or tied bundles of no longer than 4 feet and not to exceed 50 pounds each. If you have an extra can larger than 32 gallons TrashPros is not required to dump it. This policy is an effort to help prevent injuries to our drivers.
It is important to place your can properly to help make our automated service the most efficient for you, our automated trucks and our drivers. Be sure the handle faces your house and the can is within 2 feet of the curb or roadway, and at least 2 feet from obstructions such as fences, mailboxes, cars, lamp posts, and extra garbage cans, bags, or bundles.
Do not park on streets where access will be blocked. Generally, 8 feet clearance from isolated vehicles is sufficient. Keep your can’s away from cars, boats, and trailers to avoid risk of damage.
Items that must not be placed in the can are: appliances, sod, dirt, rocks, concrete, construction debris, toxic, hazardous materials, or flammable materials such as oil, gas and paint, hot ashes, dead animals and other items that would exceed the weight limit of 50 lbs per 32 gallon can or 200 lbs per 96 gallon can.
If you want an additional 96 gallon can we can deliver one to you for only an additional $8.32 per month, $6.24 for seniors.
TrashPros will provide a pick up service for your large items (Fernley only) that may include: mattresses, couches, washers, dryers, and other large items. Separate fees apply. We also provide temporary 300 gallon containers and 14, 20, and 30 yard drop boxes for special jobs.
Bulk item pick up services are available in the Fernley area only.
TrashPros offers, for Fernley residents at no additional cost, a roll out service for those whom are disabled and have no one at home capable of helping them. Churchill County may be subject to an additional $15.00 drive in service fee per quarter.
As part of our continued efforts to keep the City of Fernley clean, to reduce unsightly storage of garbage, and to keep fees low for our residents, the city has chosen to implement mandatory garbage collection for all residential properties 2 acres or less. A clean and properly maintained city helps to attract business, create employment opportunities, generate more tax revenue, increase property values and contributes to overall quality of life.
